Right. With that out of the way: it's a good box.

what was inside

• Two bannetons — which means back-to-back weekend bakes without washing a basket mid-prove. Dangerous.
• A bread lame — regular readers know my scoring setup has been a razor blade wedged in a coffee stirrer. An actual lame feels like being promoted.
• A bench scraper — you can never have too many. It's the law.
• A Danish dough whisk — the strange wire loop I've been curious about for ages. First test: the initial shaggy mix of the everyday loaf, where my hand usually ends up wearing half the dough.
• A Mason Cash mixing bowl — the classic cane one. Heavy, beautiful, and it doesn't skate across the counter during stretch and folds.
• A Dutch oven liner — a silicone sling with long handles, so the cold dough can be lowered into a 250°C pot without the usual knuckle roulette.
• A beeswax bread bag — the plastic-free answer to "how do I keep a cut loaf?" I have crust-texture questions. There will be a follow-up entry.
• Two spatulas — immediately claimed for discard waffle duty.
• An apron — flour will still get everywhere. But now, officially.

how this works

Everything on the kit page normally earns its spot by surviving months of weekly bakes, so I'm not going to pretend a box that arrived on Tuesday has done that. The parcel gets its own clearly-marked section on the kit list, and as things prove themselves (or don't), I'll write it up here honestly — the same way I'd tell you a loaf came out flat.
